Harbour Light provides a Chemical Dependency
Treatment Program. You must apply to get into this
program. ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE PERMANENT RESIDENTS
OF ONTARIO!
To apply for this program you must complete the provincial assessment package, known as "The Tools", and meet the criteria for referral to residential treatment. (Have full assessment pack Faxed to agency). For Fax number
click here. You will then complete a screening interview over the phone. If any court appearances are to be made, arrange to have them postponed until after treatment. You must have all medication requirements pre-approved by agency prior to admission. You must be detoxified for 72 hours from alcohol and drugs prior to admission.
You must complete a minimum 72 hour Detoxification Period at a
Withdrawal Management Centre (WMC) and then come directly to the centre, once admission date has been set.
Please note that Harbour Light often has a Wait List for admission. Priority for admission is given to current residents of Kingston, then residents of Southeastern Ontario Health District, then to other areas of the Province of Ontario.
